AWS Multi-Factor Authentication Introduction

Within the latest months, we have announced different updates in Cloud Security approaches. However, there are changes that need your contribution, as a part of the overall Cloud Security improvements program. This specifically refers to strengthening AWS security, namely, making additional steps to enhance IAM Users protection.

We activated the possibility to set up AWS multi-factor authentication (MFA)- the approach that creates an additional authentication point - a code received to a verified device and necessary to compete the authentication.

Starting from May 1, 2016, AWS MFA is obligatory for all permanent IAM users. Please, activate it within the shortest time. You can find the detailed instructions on this page.

Please note that according to EPAM Cloud Security Policy, the IAM Users that do not have MFA authentication set up, can be blocked by EPAM Cloud Support teams.

Thank you for understanding!
